Have You Ever Wondered “Who is the Deacon and Am I One to be Called?”
If you are single or a sacramentally married, faith filled Catholic man, who loves the Church, would love to serve Christ and the Church as a minister of Charity, Word and Sacrament, you may discern God’s possible call to the Permanent Diaconate.
The Archdiocese Pastoral Center, 66 Brooks Drive, Braintree is hosting Session 1 of a 3 session Permanent Diaconate Inquirers Program September 19th at 7pm. The following 2 sessions will be held at the Pastoral Center Tuesday, November 7 at 7 pm and Saturday, November 18, 9 am - 2 pm. This is a half day Discernment Retreat. Lunch will be provided.
If you are married you are strongly encouraged to attend all 3 events with your wife.
This first session will discuss “Who is the deacon”, and address any questions you may have regarding the role and work of the deacon in the Church and community.
The Diaconate Formation Program is 4 years in length and is open to single and married men who will be between the ages of 35-65 at the time of ordination.
