Children and Teens Sacramental Preparation

Following their Baptism, children in Catholic faith formation receive three more sacraments, the final two Sacraments of Initiation (First Communion and Confirmation), as well as the first Sacrament of Healing, Reconciliation.

Grades 1 & 2: First Reconciliation/First Communion

Although children receive their first Sacraments of Reconciliation and Communion in second grade, there is a two year program that prepares them to receive these sacraments.

    • St. Anne: Saturday, June 19, at 11:00 a.m.
    • Most Precious Blood: Sunday, June 20, at 5:00 p.m. (Haitian Mass)
    • St. Pius X:

Regardless of parish affiliation, students and their families are welcome to celebrate First Communion at any of our three parishes. 

Grades 9 & 10: Confirmation

The Confirmation program for the Blue Hills Catholic Collaborative is two (2) years, offered to students beginning their freshman year of high school. Teens who attend Catholic schools are required to participate  Year II only.

The Sacrament of Confirmation will be conferred by the Very Reverend Brian McHugh, Episcopal Vicar of the Central Region of the Archdiocese of Boston on Sunday, April 11, 2021, at St. Anne Church, at 11:30 a.m. (Please note this date may change depending on status of COVID at the time.)
