Special Thanks to Karen King

Our Collaborative Office Manager

After 3 years in her position helping us transition from 3 parishes into the Blue Hills Collaborative, Karen has decided to retire and enjoy another aspect of life. She has been one of the faces of the Collaborative and many of you have met Karen at the Collaborative Center and at various parish activities. I have known her for 33 years as we worked together at Sacred Heart parish (1984 – ’90). We want to thank Karen for her spirit, enthusiasm, professionalism, and dedication to the Church and the mission of the Collaborative. We are now in the process of seeking a replacement with the support of the Archdiocese. We wish Karen the best and thank her for all she did for so many in a short time. We now hope to build on her foundation. Meanwhile our staff and administrative assistants will do our best to serve you.

As Office Manager, Karen has been responsible for daily operations, policy and procedure, administrative functions, completing Archdiocese of Boston initiatives, and preparing the weekly bulletin. She has been involved with the Archdiocese for many years, serving on the Parish Council at Sacred Heart Roslindale and as Youth Minister for the parishes of St Mary Wrentham, St Jude Norfolk and St Martha Plainville. Karen retired from her role as a Vice President of Retail Banking for BNY Mellon in 2011.
