Isn't Life Grand!

1000 Club of the Blue Hills Collaborative

The person who coined the phrase "time flies when you're having fun" could not have been more right. If you can believe it, we are embarking on our third season of the "Isn't Life Grand!" Club. I am thrilled to tell you that, as of this writing, we have given out over $50,000 in prizes! Think about it. Over $50,000 has been paid out to the people who support the Blue Hills Collaborative while at the same time we have realized a profit of nearly $50,000 for our three parishes. This is not only fun - it's phenomenal! Without a doubt, it is your continued enthusiasm for the "Isn't Life Grand!" Club that has made it so successful. We can't thank you enough!

Your support has been constant and it's evident in the numbers. At the end of our first season, our enrollment count was 926 members and we were ecstatic about that. When we started our second season, we were cautiously optimistic that we would meet (or even exceed) the first year's membership count and we were right. Our second year enrollment count was 932 members! Again, this is only possible because of the support that you continue to show for the success of the Blue Hills Collaborative.

Now, our third year is upon us. Of course, we would like to continue this upward trend. A higher enrollment equates to a bigger profit, which, as you know, is greatly needed to help sustain St. Anne's, MPB and St. Pius X. So, we are aiming high. Ifwe can get just 68 more enrollments than we had in our second year, we will hit 1000 members. Imagine!

  • The season runs from July - June. On the first Saturday of every month, after the 4:00 Mass at St. Pius, we will draw nine winning tickets amounting to $2100 in prizes (1-$1000, 1- $300, 1-$200 and 6-$100 winners)
  • Proceeds from the club will be divided equally among our three parishes
  • Memberships are sold only as 'season tickets', not on a month-to-month basis
  • Memberships will be established using names only-there are no numbers assigned
  • Anyone joining now must purchase a $60 season ticket ($5 per month) and your name will automatically be enrolled in the 12 monthly drawings
  • Tickets can be sold at a prorated cost based on the number of months left in the current season. For example, if you purchase a ticket in September then the cost will be $50 and enrollment will be for the remaining ten months (Sept - June)
  • A single membership can win multiple times on the same day
  • Winners will receive a check for their winnings soon after each drawing is held
  • Winners' names will be posted on our website and in the bulletin

If you choose to join, please fill out the enrollment form and return it to the Collaborative Center (20 Como Road, Readville, MA 02136). Checks should be made payable to Most Precious Blood. The enrollment form allows for up to three memberships per form but there is no limit to the number of memberships you can purchase. Membership cards will be sent back to the purchaser of the ticket(s). 

Colleen Foley is the person coordinating this club and we are most appreciative of her time and energy in making this a reality for the Blue Hills Collaborative. We will post the monthly winners in the bulletin and on the website. Winners will receive a letter of congratulations along with a check for their winnings soon after each drawing is held. We know how important you are to this venture and we hope you choose to join us. Please spread the word. Our goal is to enroll as many members as possible - wouldn't $1,000 be grand! It is a dream that we hope to make a reality with your support.
